How do traits vary among individuals?
Trait variation among individuals depends on their genetic and environmental factors. this diversity can result from natural or environmental factors which cause mutations. They can also arise from chromosomal swapping during meiosis. Organisms of the same species can have trait variations, such that they possess similar but not identical genes. In sexual reproduction, characters vary between offspring and parents due to a particular set of chromosomes inherited. Such differences rarely result from mutations and they maintain the information that genes carry.
