Hi, in green colourblindness, is it true or false that they can’t distinguish red dots against green backgrounds
It is true. This kind of color blindness is referred to as protanomaly. The sufferer of this red-green color deficiency is not able to distinguish the red pigment from a green background. Protanomaly is usually mild and as a result, the sufferer can perform different day to day activities normally. The eyes perceive red as green when the L- cones are present but not performing well. However, the people suffering from protanomaly can be able to distinguish red only but not when placed with the green color.
