How is the activity of enzymes in biological reactions similar to machines that build cars
Enzymes are similar to machines that make cars in that they are used over and over again. They do not get altered or used up during the reaction, but remain the same, thus are required in small amounts.
Some lift the entire vehicle, some lift the doors, and still others bolt the frames. Enzymes are similar to those enormous robots. They take one or two pieces, do something to them, and then release them. When they finish their work, they go on to the next piece and repeat the process.
