Define the following terms:
i) Keystone species
ii) Biomagnification
iii) Field capacity
iv) Ecological pyramids
v) Niche
I)Keystone species are those which have an extremely high impact on a particular ecosystem relative to its population.
ii)biological magnification, is any concentration of a toxin, such as pesticides, in the tissues of tolerant organisms at successively higher levels in a food chain
iii)Field Capacity is the amount of soil moisture or water content held in the soil after excess water has drained away and the rate of downward movement has decreased.
iv)An ecological pyramid (also trophic pyramid, Eltonian pyramid, energy pyramid, or sometimes food pyramid) is a graphical representation designed to show the biomass or bioproductivity at each trophic level in a given ecosystem
v)In ecology, a niche is the match of a species to a specific environmental condition. It describes how an organism or population responds to the distribution of resources and competitors and how it in turn alters those same factors.
