State [3 marks] and describe [6 marks] three different learning contexts in Environmental Education/ Education for Sustainable Development can take place.
Different learning contexts in environmental education for sustainable development do exist, this includes and are not limited to:
1) Promoting critical thinking, problem solving and action. This skills helps in building and developing confidence that is required in addressing the challenges facing environmental sustainable development.
2) Employing varieties of educational methods such as literature, art, drama and debate to illustrate the processes. This methods makes it easy to pass the required information to the parties involved as they are proven to be effective.
3) Sharing of the values and principles that underpin sustainable development. By doing this, the learners will have a sense of understanding of what is required of them and make better judgements that would help in environmental sustainable development.
