Crysta, Pips, Batty, and Beetle Boy are all cave-dwelling crickets who live in the dark, damp, and spooky caves of the Darthenge Mountains. They all face different problems in their caves, but the biggest and most difficult for them all is the lack of light. They all need light to survive, but since they live in the dark, damp, and spooky caves of the Darthenge Mountains, they have very little natural light to survive on. This is the main problem that Crysta, Pips, Batty, and Beetle Boy all face with their environment.

Crysta, Pips, Batty and Beetle Boy live in a polluted environment filled with toxic chemicals and waste. Crysta, Pips, and Batty live in a world where pollution has destroyed most of the natural world. They live in a junkyard, which is full of pollution and debris which is quite unhealthy for them.
