Does resource partitioning contradicts Gauses's law?

Gauses’s law says that 2 species that use the same resource in a similar manner can't coexist. Along with that, resource partitioning is an apparent Gauss' law contradiction: use resources differently to avoid competition - competition is rare because organisms inhabit different niches.
