In a new variety of cat, the Pastel cat, pink fur color is dominant to sky blue fur. A pink cat was crossed with a blue cat and produced three kittens. One was blue and two were pink.
One of the two pink kittens wandered off and was later found sleeping next to the neighbor's dog. (The neighbor also has Pastel cats and thinks that the kitten was playing with one of her kittens.) A DNA test was performed on the lost kitten (for different reasons) and the kitten was discovered to have two dominant alleles. (PP)
What are the genotypes of the parents?
