Hi, I am really struggling with human anatomy and physiology, and I need help with a question. I think I know the answer I just want to make sure I am on the right track. How does homeostasis of the heart effected due to a decrease in coronary blood flow? Thank you
When the pressure of the blood drops too low, the rate of baroreceptor firing decreases. This will then trigger an increase in sympathetic stimulation of the heart, thereby increasing cardiac output. It will also trigger sympathetic stimulation of the peripheral vessels which will result in vasoconstriction.
