Regarding bacterial production, microorganisms that can feed on different carbon sources are very important for bacterial production of the extracellular enzyme. Carbon sources have a significant role in growth. Carbon is the chief component of cellular material. The consumption of carbon enables the microorganism to use the energy for biologic functions such as the production of the extracellular enzyme. An increase in enzyme production is associated with increased growth of an organism. Therefore, getting an organism that can feed on different carbon sources will lead to increased growth of the microorganism, hence raising enzyme production.
