Does DNA primase synthesise RNA primer in 3'-> 5' direction?

Expert's answer

No, it does not.
As any enzyme working with nucleic acid, it produces the primer ( complementary fragment) in 5'-3' direction. However, it reads the parental strand in 3'-5' direction.
