a. Genetic code is non ambiguous meaning each codon specifies one amino acid only.
b. Genetic code is degenerate i.e one amino acid is specified by more than one codon. For example glutamic acid codons are GAA, GAG.
c. Genetic code is non overlapping for example, a sequence ATGGTCTACGGCTTC is read as ATG GTC TAC GGC TTC.
