write a paragraph expressing what do you think will happen if there is no bulk transport in our body.
The bulk transport comprises several types of active transport that involve the invaginations of cellular membrane - endocytosis, pinocytosis, exocytosis, receptor-mediate endocytosis. The absence of bulk transport would inhibit the synaptic transmission of signals in the nervous system since the process depends on endocytosis and exocytosis. Most cells will be insensitive or oversensitive to hormones and other signaling ligands as receptor-mediated endocytosis is important for the regulation of the signaling pathways in cells. Next, immune cells and the immune system would be completely suppressed. Immune processes depend on phagocytosis, endocytosis, and exocytosis which are required for the engulfment of pathogens and presentation of antigens.
