why are centipedes and millipedes and insects all placed in subphylum uniramia?
Millipedes are found in the class Diplopoda and centipedes are found in class Chilopoda. However, both of them belong to the phylum Arthropoda and to the subphylum Myriapoda. Both of them are invertebrates and are found in the largest phylum in the Animal Kingdom that also includes insects, lobsters, and crabs. They need moist vicinity and they actively respond at night.
