what are advantages and disadvantages to sexual reproduction
A) A cross was made between pure breeding plants differing in two
characters (colour and shape of seed) and the progenies were inter-crossed
to produce F2 population. Four types of phenotypes; yellow round (1108),
yellow wrinkled (382), green round (366) and green wrinkled (140) were
observed in F2. Use the chi-square test to determine if these results are
due to independent assortment.
B) Explain prophase and metaphase stages of mitosis
1.What is the stimulus in the feedback loop below?
2.What is the control center in the feedback loop below?
3.Mention 2 effector organs that process so that the body could return to a set point?
When body temperature drops, the hypothalamus initiates several physiological responses to increase heat production and conserve heat: Narrowing of surface blood vessels (vasoconstriction) decreases the flow of heat to the skin; shivering commences, increasing production of heat by the muscles; Adrenal glands secrete stimulatory hormones such as norepinephrine and epinephrine to increase metabolic rates and hence heat production. These effects cause body temperature to increase. When it returns to normal, the hypothalamus is no longer stimulated, and these effects cease.

1.) What organ is the probable control center in the feedback loop below?
2.) What is the stimulus in the feedback loop below?
3.) Enumerate the 2 effector organs that process so that the body could return to a set point?
When the high blood glucose level is detected, the beta cells in the pancreas are stimulated to increase the production of insulin. These hormones are released into the bloodstream which will allow body cells to take up more glucose. Liver will be stimulated to take up glucose and store it as glycogen. These responses will allow blood glucose to decline to a set point thereby diminishing the stimulus to release insulin.
