Geographer’s view of the world is most often understood as the culture of geography as a science, the culture of geographical knowledge of both geographers and the population. These interrelated concepts are considered from the standpoint of modern geography. Geographic culture consists of the following components: 1) the geographical picture of the world, 2) geographical thinking, 3) the methods of geography, 4) the language of geography. There is a gap between popular and scientific geographic culture, as society is mainly confronted with descriptive geography and has no idea about the language and methods of modern geography.
