a) As much as there are a lot of similarities there are also differences between the old Greek & Roman craftsmanship between the Renaissance, Baroque and Rococo art. Classical art is surrounded with the cultures of Greece and Rome which includes innovations in painting, sculpture, decorative arts, and architecture and these inventions exuded confidence and power and left an impression to the lucky person who was able to experience it. In the renaissance era art promoted the rediscovery of classical philosophy, literature and art. Classical art affected the renaissance period by becoming sources of potent creativity and allowing artists to be more inspired and have the desire to reproduce the achievements of the past. The artists developed inventive creations of ancient artifacts and literary texts, which in turn created entirely new modes of painting and sculpture. In the Baroque period art was encouraged by the Catholic Church and is characterized by the clear detail in artwork and the intention of producing drama and extravagant sculptures, paintings, architecture, literature and so on. When the Rococo phase came art became simpler and less complicated. There wasn’t much attention and stress over the creation of art and more private families would request more personal art according to their own interests. Painters were paid to make personal projects although the Church was still a major supported artists had to diversify their work.
b) Artists turned away from classical tradition more in these periods because more people requested personal art pieces, sculptures and this allowed artists to be more flexible when creating these pieces at request.
