Name and explain in details at least 5 pre maths concepts learners need to be able to master in their Grade R year
1. Numbers.
A number is a mathematical object used to count, measure, and label. The original examples are the natural numbers 1, 2, 3, 4, and so forth.
2. Operations.
In mathematics, an operation is a function which takes zero or more input values (called operands) to a well-defined output value. The number of operands (also known as arguments) is the arity of the operation.
3. Relationships
A relation between two sets is a collection of ordered pairs containing one object from each set. If the object x is from the first set and the object y is from the second set, then the objects are said to be related if the ordered pair (x,y) is in the relation. A function is a type of relation.
4. Functions
function, in mathematics, an expression, rule, or law that defines a relationship between one variable (the independent variable) and another variable (the dependent variable).
5. Shape
In geometry, a shape can be defined as the form of an object or its outline, outer boundary or outer surface.
