Linear Variable Differential Transformer consists of two secondary coils connected together so they have only two output terminals and a single primary coil. There is a moveable core inside. The magnetic flux created by the primary coil is affected by the medium in which it propagates. So, when we eject the core, one of the secondary coil becomes subjected to the influence of a weaker magnetic flux, while the other is still in the strong magnetic flux. This allows to change the value of the output voltage.
