The sources of foreign policy are elements that guide that country in making laws and policies about its foreign relations. The sources of foreign policy of South Africa are its territorial size and boundary, geographic location, its level and capacity of economic development, history and culture, government structure, internal affairs, the ruling African National Congress party, economic and political ideology, technology, military power, external environment, and international treaties (Qobo & Nyathi, 2016).
