In the fight against COVID-19, there has been complete solidarity with the people and governments of Africa. The endeavor has been hampered by the countries' lack of comprehensive debt structures. Starting with a debt moratorium for nations that are unable to fulfill their debt, followed by targeted debt relief and a comprehensive address to structural concerns in the international debt architecture to avoid defaults.
