The anchor of service/dedication to a cause will encourage people to apply for public-sector jobs in particular, or will encourage people to flourish in public-sector jobs in general. Individuals would not give up the chance to do work that makes the world a better place to live, such as solving environmental problems, enhancing interpersonal harmony, assisting others, improving people's safety, and curing diseases through innovative goods. Such possibilities can be pursued even if it means moving organizations, and you should refuse transfers or promotions that would take you away from work that aligns with your beliefs.
