Differentiate among flow control mechanisms by taking suitable examples
.In Flow Control, Traffic is controlled and Traffic represents flow from sender to receiver whereas in Congestion Control, traffic is controlled and Traffic represents flow entering into the network.
.In Flow Control, data link and transport layers handles flow control whereas in Congestion Control, network and transport layers handles it.
.In Flow Control, the receiver is prevented from being overwhelmed whereas in Congestion Control, the network is prevented from being congested.
.In Flow Control, only sender is responsible for the traffic whereas in Congestion Control, transport layer is responsible for the traffic.
.In Flow Control, traffic is prevented by slowing down the sender whereas in Congestion Control traffic is prevented by slowing down the transport layer.
