 One of the tools of education that a learner requires is critical thinking which equips them with the needed skills to tackle problems and issues in society regardless of their nature. This includes;

Asking open-ended questions

Asking open-ended questions to students boosts their self-esteem by enabling them to express themselves in front of their peers. Conversing in an open-ended question builds relationships as they engage with their peers which enables them to relate to the person they’re communicating with. This also helps a student to practice, expand their vocabulary as well as their communication skills.

 Introducing group works

Working in groups expands their thinking ability by showing that there is more than one way to solve an issue. They are also able to compare and contrast different perspectives with their peers and fuse them into their thinking through this, one’s mindset can be easily changed effectively by learning from them and seeing their unique talents.

Exploring a concept from multiple perspectives

This enables one to see the bigger picture and find the source of a problem, discover a solution that takes into consideration the needs and feelings of the people involved. Thinking through the different angles and possibilities enables them to tackle issues themselves.

Inspire creativity

Telling students to come up with inventions, compose a story or poem, sing a song expands their thinking capacity, gives them the freedom to tap into their imagination. The creative skills obtained helps to generate and process information and beliefs, and guide their behavior.
