One kind of dynamics of drug dependence is physical dependency where the body has developed a physiological reliance on drugs since it has caused changes in its natural state of being.

There is also psychological dependency. In this case, a person changes from taking the recommended dose of the drug e.g. alcohol to taking excess so as to forget all his problems. If this habit is repeated many times, the drug will cause very serious psychological dependency.
