Chemostat is a system in which the chemical composition is kept at a controlled level for the cultute of microbes whereas a turbidostat is a continuous microbiological culture device which has feedback between the turbidity of the culture vessel and the diffusion rate.
In chemostat chemical composition of the medium is kept constant whereas in turbidostat the turbidity is kept constant.
Chemostat proceeds with the limiting nutrient whereas in turbidostat dilution rate varies.
Chemostat proceeds with the limited nutrient whereas in turbidostat there is no such limiting nutrient.
