Good morning,
I am a cub scout leader and tonight we are doing science experiments. One of these is to spit in yoghurt and then leave for a week to let the mould grow. My question is what is the science behind this? What is in mould ? What is in saliva? What is in yoghurt? Why when you mix yoghurt and saliva mould forms and is a speedy process? All the science please.
Thank you.
