How might it be challenging to create a water management plan that accounts for traditional cultural/ceremonial water uses?
Water management can be challenging based on different local and indigenous knowledge particularly in societies with long historic use of the water sources. Therefore, managing the water source becomes challenging since some culture requires special knowledge to be applied to ensure that every effort respects traditional owners rights by strictly applying their indigenous knowledge that they offer. For example some main water source might be used as a special place to conduct traditional rituals which can be challenging to manage.
