discuss how the cut in the budget of NSFAS would affect student learning in SA
National Student Finance Aid Scheme of South Africa is a government body gives funds to students in their tertiary level of education. This type of money is offered in form of loans which are to be repaid later in life as one starts earning or is employed. The cut in budget for the funds that students will receive will affect them in many ways. One of them is that the students will have lesser money and they may experience financial hardships bringing about lack of food. This will make the students suffer from food shortages thus affecting their attendance and attention in class. Another reason is that students won't be able buy equipments to necessitate their learning in school. Since they used to use part of the money to buy staff like laptops and iPads, they won't be able to buy these and this will negatively affect their learning since they have no equipment required for them to learn smoothly.
