My sponsor has made an exceptional request for me to write an article for one of her electronic publications. The timing is good, as I have just arrived at a new destination. With my friend’s approval, I decide to write about this new country. But what am I going to write about? Rigged elections that easily enable the incumbent president to be re-elected? Numerous irregularities in the election process? The arrest of two members of the ruling political party who did not agree with the president’s latest decisions? Or I could write about the very limited civil rights and liberties or the fact that the only place political pluralism is allowed in this country is on paper.

Not surprisingly, my friend advises me to be extremely careful, whatever subject I choose: In this state, even the Internet is monitored. I never know what can happen under this type of regime.

In a 650- to 750-word text, describe the type of political regime associated with the country visited.

The advent of the strong man trailblazer has been a serious point of argument for African states. Since African dictators have sustained a stronghold on controlling their autocratic leadership. These extended tenures are becoming the norm rather than an iniquity in Africa. The styles of leadership are influenced by coercion, cooptation, colonial legacies, repression, indirect or indirect foreign influence, and ego-centric tendencies of yearning to die from power.

Dictatorship is even embraced when exercising the democratic right of conducting elections. Some Africans leader are determined not to lose in general elections. This proposes that elections have frolicked a significant role in African politics. Due to dictatorship, therefore, Africa elections are featured by the rigging of elections in favor of the ruling party or government, political assassinations more especially those opposing the ruling government, party leadership wrangles where party members cannot agree on certain issues, numerous irregularities and decline of democracy were human rights are violated.
