  1. The philosophical approach is a classical or traditional tactic of learning and studying politics. The approach improves critical and reasoning and skills which sets principles of judgment and describes positive purposes for the usage of public power. However, the disadvantage of using this approach is that one indulges too much in creative and imaginative thoughts that are not always met. 
  2. Legal approaches are attempts to understand politics using the law of land. The approach calls for the powers of imagination and observationA political expert observes that all people abide by authority, and that authority looks diverse across dissimilar clusters of people. However, it can promote political tolerance since it protects human rights. 
  3. The historical approach maintains that political occurrences can be understood better with the assistance of historical issues like the place, age, and circumstances. The approach aids in untangling legal issues entrenched in the past. Thus, it provides guideposts presenting how things have evolved and developed over the years. However, negative political contributions can be imitated by dictators. 
  4. The scientific approach is in a rational, objective, and methodical way about politics. The approach uses data that is empirical and evidence-based. Therefore, the approach is valid and reliable. However, the approach uses senses that sometimes are prone to deception.
