The evolution of Public Administration in Ghana began with ‘a Chieftaincy
Administration’ which was practiced before the arrival of the Europeans. In the
process, the British introduced what could loosely be referred to as a ‘Traditional-
Federal’ State. To what extent do you think that this change in the systems of
governance was inevitably leading to a ‘Democratic’ system of governance in Ghana?
The evolution from Chieftaincy to Traditional Federal State administration in Ghana was the gateway process that was inevitable leading to social, political, and economic changes which are the ingredients for good governance and the dawn for democracy in the state of Ghana.
