Strategies to forging a sense of common nationhood/social cohesion in South Africa
Boosting social cohesion can be done through fighting discrimination, social exclusion, and inequalities, by building networks of relationships, trust, and identity between and within different groups of society, and by enabling upward social mobility. Another strategy to improve social cohesion includes; getting your local government ready, engaging the community to understand the issues, building long-term partnerships, taking place-based, targeted action, and evaluating and share outcomes.
